Time to escape your own four walls for a long-awaited treat. Head to one of our cosy B&Bs - from stylish boutique ones to idyllic farm stays. Start your day with a hearty locally sourced cooked breakfast, before hitting our miles of uncrowded footpaths and forestry tracks.- Time to escape to fresh air, nature and miles of uncrowded walking trails and amazing river valley vistas. Head to Symonds Yat Rock, an internationally renowned viewpoint, with one of the most iconic views of the Wye Valley. Stop at the open-air cafe for a well-deserved pit stop on your walk.
- Head to the Forest of Dean and surrounds to enjoy lunch and a pint in a great British pub. How we have missed this treat! Stop off to sample locally-sourced food in a traditional village pub - many have gardens and offer a warm welcome to dogs and muddy walking boots!
- Take to our miles of quiet woodland tracks - from the iconic Offa's Dyke Path to the Wye Valley Walk or the new Wye Valley Greenway. Enjoy plenty of fresh air and space to explore.
- Escape to a cosy cottage before heading out on miles of uncrowded footpaths and forest tracks to explore safely. Stroll past iconic sites like Tintern Abbey or picture-perfect Puzzlewood. Stop for a pint at a pub or picnic by the side of the River Wye.
- Pretty riverside pubs and country inns await, many have great beer gardens -perfect for enjoying some sunny alfresco dining. And on your doorstep... the opportunity to step out and explore the ancient forest and dramatic river valley.
- Time to escape your own four walls for a long-awaited treat. Head to one of our rural boltholes - from stylish boutique hotels and restaurants with rooms, to cosy glamping cabins, where you can relax and recharge your batteries.
- An exciting place is waiting for you to explore - take to the water for a canoe trip, try a wild swimming dip in the Wye, or hit the miles of off-road cycle trails on an e-bike to make exploring further even easier.
- No visit to the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley is complete without sampling some of our amazing local food and drink. We have Michelin starred restaurants and cosy country pubs, artisan gin and cider makers and plentiful farm shops.
- Time to escape your own four walls. Take to miles of safe off-road cycle trails on easy-going forestry tracks. The Family Cycle Trail is a circular 9 mile route around the Forest of Dean and is perfect for all ages - the dog can come too!
- Deep in the magical world of Puzzlewood, lies hidden treasures for them to seek out. Famous as a film location for Merlin, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Secret Garden - Puzzlewood is sure to delight. They may not agree on their finds but it sure beats being stuck at home.
- The Dean Wye is the perfect spot to try something a little different. From rock climbing and caving, to archery, assault courses and high-wire adventures. We've got activities to keep the whole family entertained, even your tricky tweens and teens!
