We have lots of fantastic local restaurants, pubs, cafes and delis who provide a wide range of delicious vegetarian and vegan food. These days you will find vegetarian options on every menu as standard and long gone are the days of only being presented with a boring uninspiring meal! Several of our pubs, cafes and restaurants do really well at providing unique, sumptuous vegetarian food and plenty of it. Below you will find a list of any businesses who have at least one vegetarian option on their menu. Check out their websites for more details and most will have an online or downloadable menu so you can be sure before you book that you'll be well catered for.
Vegan options are also now becoming more plentiful, although unless they advertise they have vegan food on their menu we do recommend checking in advance to avoid disappointment. Those who have a good range of vegan options on their menu include:
The Speech House Hotel where you can choose from their vegan menu which currently includes a Butternut Squash and Chickpea Burger, a Curried Pumpkin Strudel and a vegan dessert of Mulled Plum Doughnuts!
The Red Hart Inn which has a seasonal vegan menu with a selection of starters, mains and desserts as well as regularly featuring a vegan dish on their specials board.
The Fountain Inn which has several vegan items on their menu and a vegan dessert menu which includes vegan ice cream.
The King's Head Hotel with a delicious vegan evening meal and Sunday roast option.
The Forge Hammer and River Spice with a dedicated vegan menu to make tastebuds tingle!
We also have at home catering options if you would like to hire a chef to come to you! Cookery experiences, foraging and workshops are available too.
Also don't forget that you will be able to pick up a range of vegan snacks, pâtés and drinks at our farm shops and delis.
