The historic The Speech House Hotel in the centre of the Forest of Dean which offers à la carte dining both in the Orangery and the historic Verderers Court - dine in the only still functioning courthouse and restaurant in the country!
Tudor Farmhouse Hotel & Restaurant, with award-winning flavour-packed dishes sourced directly from local producers and the hotel’s own gardens. The 13th century farmhouse restaurant has 2 AA red rosettes.
The Whitebrook in Monmouthshire, proud holders of one Michelin star as well as 3 AA rosettes. Chris Harrod chef / owner recently won the Great British Menu and specialises in local ingredients and foraged findings from the valley. Dishes are individual and personal, which reflect a deep connection to the area.
The Barn at Severn & Wye Smokery in Gloucestershire, a stylish restaurant where you can enjoy a feast of daily landed fresh fish and seafood. Menus are based on the best quality fresh seasonal ingredients and cooked to perfection but with restraint. Their new barn restaurant is a stunning architectural venue.
Michelin-starred The Walnut Tree, recently ranked best restaurant in Wales in Harden’s Best UK Restaurants 2019. The Walnut Tree offers quality dining and drinking in an informal setting with an eclectic mix of food from head chef Shaun Hill.
The King's Head Hotel in Ross-on-Wye, an ancient former coaching Inn serving fresh local market produce, fresh fish and game when in season with one AA rosette.

Coleford
We offer a range of light bites, main meals and daily specials, as well as a children’s menu. The Club House is open for anyone to visit for a drink or bite to eat. Food is served daily with our breakfast menu running from 7.30-11.30am and our bar menu available from 11.30-9pm. All our meals are cooked to order using fresh local produce where possible. The sunny terrace overlooks our county bowling green and is an excellent location to watch an afternoon’s play or wind down after your day.
Coleford
The beamed historic Verderers' is the hotel's fine-dining restaurant and reflects the room's continuing use as a courthouse for the Forest of Dean Verderers. It’s said to be the only remaining active courtroom in the UK where dining is a possibility. The Verderers continue to meet every quarter, and discuss the faun and flora of the Forest, in the historic Verderers’ Court.

The Orangery has a delicious range of options. In the mornings we offer a selection of teas, coffees and homemade cakes. If you’re looking for something a bit more substantial, we offer a selection of freshly cooked, locally sourced dishes through to light bites such as home baked sourdough pizzas and salads, from 12pm – 9pm daily.
Ross-On-Wye
In the “Hope & Anchor Pub & Rooms” we’ll be providing quality beers and ales as well as great home-cooked food 7 days a week, served in our restaurant area, bar area or outside on one of our 40 or so picnic tables. We will also be able to offer 12 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, all newly renovated to a high standard, providing our guests with the opportunity to enjoy an extended stay in a beautiful river-side location with beautiful views.

A rural gastronomic haven with local and foraged produce at its heart, The Whitebrook Restaurant with Rooms is tucked away in the beautiful Wye Valley offering a haven from the stresses of modern life. The Whitebrook is a proud holder of one Michelin star and four AA rosettes, as well as consistently being listed in The Good Food Guide Top 50 UK Restaurants, putting it amongst the top restaurants in the country.
Newland
Proper 13th century country pub opposite the Cathedral of the Forest in the village of Newland. 8 Real Ales. Great food. Beer garden.
Blaisdon
A warm welcome awaits, our 16th century pub is full of original features, log fire, flagstone floors and low beams. Outside we have a children's play area, beer garden and heated outdoor dining.
Parkend
Award-winning country inn. Well known locally for its excellent meals and real ales. A wide choice of home-cooked meals available and on Sundays a popular carvery is available from noon until 3pm. In the centre of Parkend village with woodland walks, the Dean Forest Railway and bike hire from Dean Forest Cycles.
