Feel the love that some of our previous visitors have experienced here and get inspired by their write ups of their visits. Couple Lee and Tran visited the Dean Wye for the very first time in 2020 and this young couple from London managed to fit in a few adventures, a bit of history, some relaxation and a little decadence too. It was their first visit to the area and we think they made some great choices and packed in a lot, allowing them to get a taste for what this fantastic, beautiful and eclectic area has to offer while leaving them wanting to come back for more! They took a steam train ride on the Dean Forest Railway, had a high ropes adventure with Go Ape and a calming floatation experience at Float in the Forest. They explored Tintern, visiting the Abbey, St Mary’s Church and Abbey Mill Tintern. They stayed at the Tudor Farmhouse Hotel and had a delicious 3-course meal there, and had one night at The Hudnalls Hideout Luxury Wye Valley Treehouse where they had a Hire a Chef experience "some of the most delicious and incredible food we have had this year". They picked up a picnic hamper full of local produce from Forest Deli for lunch one day, perfect while they were out and about exploring and had an afternoon tea from The Speech House Hotel another day. Sounds pretty perfect to us?! They also took many stunning photos. Read all about their visit and what they thought of our little slice of paradise on their blog here.
Whether you are celebrating Valentine's Day or St Dwynwen's Day, a birthday, engagement, anniversary treat or just a loved up break with your other half, our romantic landscape is perfect for escaping the everyday and enjoying quality time together.
