Just a very short drive from the market town of Coleford, The Speech House Hotel is a culinary treat nestled in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean.
Eating out is an important part of everyday life, whether you’re staying at the hotel or popping in from around the Forest of Dean. Here at The Speech House, we offer a tempting selection of lighter food and beverage options in our bright and airy Orangery.
The Orangery has a delicious range of options. In the mornings we offer a selection of teas, coffees and homemade cakes. If you’re looking for something a bit more substantial, we offer a selection of freshly cooked, locally sourced dishes through to light bites such as home baked sourdough pizzas and salads, from 12pm – 9pm daily. The Kitchen takes a break between 5pm-6pm however we do offer cakes and cream teas during this time.
We offer an elegant Afternoon Tea between 3pm-5pm (4-6pm on Sundays) which boasts a selection of finger sandwiches, seasonal indulgent treats, and freshly baked scones and jam. Served with speciality teas and coffee on fine-bone china and silver.
The Orangery is both children and dog friendly. We offer a special Children’s menu and have high-chairs available on request.
If you have special dietary requirements these can be catered for and we have a speciality Vegan & Vegetarian menu available, with vegan wines to pair with your meal should you wish. Please let your server know when you arrive, and they will be able to look after your requests.
We offer a walk-in service so pre-booking is not necessary. Tables are subject to availability on the day, and during busy periods there may be a wait.
Our array of dining options caters for all tastes. Whether it’s a relaxing dinner with your friends and family or a fine-dining experience in our AA Rosette Verderers’ Restaurant, all of our team are here to ensure that you have a wonderful dining experience.
