Severn Cider - The home of Real Cider and Perry
We are multi award winning artisan cider and perry makers. We make whole juice draught and bottled ciders and perry using locally grown apples and pears.
Since 1956 we have been making cider at our family home and now cider mill. Set within 4 acres of heritage orchards and established gardens, we are situated on the banks of the River Severn in Awre, the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. We are continuing to plant cider apple and perry pear trees at our new orchards in Blakeney, home of the famous Blakeney Red Perry pear.

The Process
The BLOSSOM paints our orchards with pinks and whites through the month of May. These blossoms are fertilised by our busy honeybees and turn into FRUIT that is ripe and ready to pick from September. The fresh fruit is washed and sorted by hand and then milled. The pulp is transferred to the 'rack and cloth pack PRESS' where the juice is squeezed out. After a period of time and maturation, the cider is tasted and when ready it is selected for you to DRINK and enjoy.
The Ingredients
We make high quality artisan products. We do not use concentrate. Our ciders, perry and cider vinegar are 99.9% whole juice. We only use fresh fruit, pressed and fermented with our indigenous wild yeasts. All of our ciders, perry and cider vinegar are gluten free. Our draught ciders and our cider vinegar are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Only trace sulphites are added to preserve freshness. Some natural sugar may be added to sweeten some of our ciders.
