The Wild Hare
Nestled in the heart of Tintern, The Wild Hare offers a laid-back and cosy countryside pub experience with exceptional food and drink. This year, theValentine’s Day menu includes Butternut and Rosemary Arancini, Sesame, Wasabi and Seaweed Crusted Salmon, and Spanish Orange and Caramelised Pecan Creme Brulee.

The Speech House Hotel
For a real taste of the Forest of Dean, the former 17th-century hunting lodge The Speech House Hotel offersi a Valentine’s Day menu in its fine dining restaurant, Verderers’ Court. Highlights include Wild Boar Tortellini, Thyme Roasted Sirloin of Beef, and a Gooseberry and Gin Parfait.

The Hope and Anchor & Pavilion
This year, the Hope and Anchor are hosting a Valentine’s Date Night in The Pavilion, offering a luxury dining experience. Their delectable three-course menu includes ‘Lobster Thermidor’, ‘Wild Boar Loin’, and ‘White Chocolate Panna Cotta’, as well as a palate cleanser between each course!

The Barn at Severn & Wye
An award-winning, family-run restaurant, The Barn at Severn & Wye offers a Valentine’s Day tasting menu, with options including Truffle and Wild Mushroom Parfait, Smoked Beetroot Tartare, Cornish Turbot roasted on the bone, and a ‘Peanut and Passion Fruit Chocolate Bar.
Available on 11 February . £82.50 per person with champagne; £115.00 per person with champagne and wine flight.
The Mill Race
The Mill Race is a family-run countryside pub and restaurant in the heart of the Wye Valley. Highlights of their Valentine’s Day Menu include In-House Smoked Duck Breast, Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb and Passionfruit Panna Cotta.
Available on 10 , 11 and 14 February . £34 per person for two courses or £38 per person for three courses.
The King’s Head Hotel & Restaurant
Located on the most picturesque street in Ross-on-Wye, The King’s Head offers a tantalising menu made with local market produce. Its Valentine’s Day menu includes Stout and Buttermilk Scones, Baked Goats Cheese Fondant, and a Classic Lemon Tart.

Red Hart Inn
CAMRA’s multi-award-winning country pub in Blaisdon is turning up the heat this Valentine’s with a taste of the Caribbean. Cocktails include Rum Punch or Passionfruit martini, appetisers of Salt Cod Fritters mains of Island chicken curry, Jamaican oxtail stew or Grilled Red Snapper with Papaya Salsa. Cool down with a dessert of Rum & dark chocolate delice,or a Warm Jamaican Ginger Cake.
