The Royal Forest Show is back for 2023, taking place at The Speech House Hotel on Saturday 17th June 2023, and featuring the finest food and drink the Forest has to offer, activities for the whole family, live music, shopping, hands-on demonstrations, amusements and a variety of displays in the main arena.
Local Discovery Events are proud to bring The Royal Forest Show to The Speech House Hotel for the first time on Saturday 17th June from 11am until 5pm. The Royal Forest Show follows on from the success of last year's Jubilee Street Party, also at The Speech House Hotel, which saw over 3000 visitors attend to enjoy a variety of stalls, food, drink and entertainment.
The Royal Forest Show will bring together over 80 local charities, organisations, artists, makers, producers and businesses who will be selling their products and services in the indoor and outdoor markets. Alongside the markets, there will be entertainment in the main arena all day which will be provided by Dean Radio, Forest Vintage Vehicle and Machinery Club, Misslechalke Gundog display team, LCS Cheerleading and Cute Farm Experience so there is sure to be something for everyone. When you are ready for some refreshments there is a wide selection of local food and drink suppliers including Terry's Speciality Burgers serving wild boar and venison; NoLos Bar serving mocktails, non-alcoholic spirits and soft drinks; The Speech House Hotel will be serving alcohol and there will be a range of cakes, bakes, ice creams and sweet treats available throughout the day so there will be something for all tastes and dietary requirements.
To keep the children amused there will be hook-a-duck, bouncy castles, trampolines, rides, messy play, cookie decorating, glitter tattoos, face painting and special guest appearances from the Gruffalo and Peter Rabbit. For the adults, there will be an opportunity to take part in a cocktail masterclass including tastings and demonstrations with Black Mountains Botanicals as well as the chance to cook on fire with Harts Barn Cookery School.
Tickets cost £6 for adults, £3 for children and children under two are free of charge. Tickets can be purchased in advance on the website. Attendees are advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment and to bring cash on the day as not all vendors will accept card payments.
