About Us
The cafe is a little gem built within the Brockweir Village Shop which has been serving the local community and visitors in this beautiful part of the Wye Valley since 2004.
The cafe which is open Mon-Sat from 10am-5pm with lunch served from 12-2.30 provides a hub and community meeting point with both inside and outside seating overlooking the Wye valley and adjacent children’s play area. It is a destination of choice for locals and visitors and a well-situated stopping point for cyclists and ramblers.
It is almost entirely run by local volunteers and aims to source local produce wherever possible. The café has a limited, but well thought out, menu. The drinks selection includes a typical barista made coffee selection and uses coffee beans roasted by Triple-Co-Roast in Bristol that are freshly grind for each cup. Syrups for coffee and a wide range of teas are also available. The exceptional hot chocolate has proved to be extremely popular. A delicious selection of cakes and patisseries caters for all dietary requirements. Croissants and pastries are available on weekends. The lunch menu features freshly homemade soup and organic sourdough toasties (and sides) as well as daily specials and salads. The café is also licensed, and locally produced beer, cider and wine is available for purchase in the shop for consumption on the premises.
It is recently refurbished and fully reopen after an 18-month period of disruption following a fire in 2003.
