Abergavenny has much to offer visitors - a blend of old and new, with activities and things to do to suit young and old alike. A visit to Abergavenny can really feel like a break away from it all - you can almost feel time slowing down as you unwind and take in the fresh mountain air and beautiful scenery of the Usk Valley.

Abergavenny's status as a foodie Mecca is well established. Its annual autumn food festival is a staple on the events calendar and its regular food and craft markets attract the 'creme de la creme' of artisan producers from across the region.

Just to the south west lie the River Usk and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. With such a range of landscape features close by, it's hardly surprising that Abergavenny is a fantastic base for outdoor activities including walking, cycling, fishing and golf.
