About Us

The perfect resource to find out more about Coleford and the wider area.

The centre, which is located on Lords Hill opposite the Forest Police Station completed a refurbishment in 2022 boasting a bright new colour scheme, informative displays from local photographers and a range of gifts and souvenirs made by local craftspeople.

The photography displays, which have been supplied by local attractions as well as members of the Forest of Dean Camera Club, showcase the wide range of heritage, landscape and fun activities available for visitors to the Forest.

The centre is staffed by a team of knowledgable and helpful volunteers who can advise visitors on all manner of local information.

Pop in to pick up maps of the area, ask the team about where to eat, places to stay or things to do, the best walks and places to visit or to find out about what's on locally during your visit. There is an excellent range of local gifts and souvenirs for purchase too.

Coleford is a Walkers are Welcome town.
