About Us

Westbury-on-Severn is bounded on three sides by the river, cut in half by the A48, and provides several vantage points for watching the phenomenal Severn Bore. The energetic sightseer can climb Garden Cliff, distinctively branded in red and grey marls and one of several Sites of Special Scientific Interest. A major SSSI in Westbury is Walmore Common, winter home to thousands of Bewick swans as well as many wading birds and unusual flora.

Nearby is the National Trust's Westbury Court Garden, a formal Dutch water garden laid out between 1696 and 1705. Historic varieties of apple, pear and plum, along with many other species introduced to England before 1700, make this a must for any enthusiastic gardener.

Also worth a visit in Westbury is the Church of St Mary, St Peter & St Paul with its detached tower and wooden spire.
