Dipper’s Hut is a luxurious shepherd’s hut for two with wood-fired hot tub. Nestled in an enchanting wooded valley, the hut overlooks the meandering stream running through the property and is an ideal relaxing base from which to explore the wonderful Forest of Dean.

Inside, the space is light and airy and well-equipped with everything you could need for that special holiday retreat. The open plan space includes a double bed and kitchen with dining area. Open all year round, the hut benefits from heating and also a wood burning stove, so you can relax and unwind whatever the weather!
The kitchen area is equipped with two-ring induction hob, fridge (with ice compartment), toaster and kettle.
The bathroom includes an oak washstand, basin, WC, heated towel rail and shower.
Outside, the private patio includes outdoor dining area, comfy Adirondack chairs and wood-fired hot tub, and affords wonderful views over the acre island gardens and babbling brook. Guests also enjoy shared access to the acre of grounds including sun loungers and gazebo.
Dipper’s Hut is one of two beautiful waterside properties at Dean Forest Retreats, set within an acre of grounds. Both properties enjoy privacy and space with their own hot tubs and outside dining areas. Ideally situated on the outskirts of Blakeney village, Dipper’s Hut has easy access to walking and cycling tracks direct from the hut, meaning a car is useful but not essential. The main attractions of Mallards Pike, Wenchford Picnic Site and Beechenhurst are all within 5 miles of the property. You’ll also find water sports at the nearby Wye Valley, as well as famous sites such as Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat. Blakeney village is a 15 minute walk and boasts 2 pubs, a local shop, fish and chip shop and Post Office.
We welcome 1 well-behaved dog for a small fee of £15 per stay
