It has been transformed into the most amazing holiday house for 24, just a short drive from the pretty town of Monmouth. Memorabilia abounds and fascinating photos are dotted around the property for guests to savour and imagine the heady days of this most prestigious musical recording studio in action.
Monmouth is a truly unique town with an iconic gatehouse bridge, Georgian Shire Hall, Museum and connections to Henry V. It offers lots of independent cafes, pubs and restaurants just 10 minutes from Monnow Valley Studio. Proximity to the English Welsh border means easy access via major routes so it's a convenient choice when organising a large gathering of family, friends or colleagues from all corners of the UK. For those seeking adventure there are plenty of opportunities for hiking from the door or further afield. The River Wye is a playground for many water sports including canoeing, wild swimming and fishing.
Attention to detail has resulted in a fabulous open plan space that includes impressive fun extras such as a sound proofed party room and home cinema games room. It's a piece of cake to prepare a meal for the whole group in the beautiful modern kitchen, or outside caterers can be hired to come in and cook for a celebratory feast. The enormous dining room with picture window views to die for is a really special and sociable space to chat over some lovely food and a few drinks. Alternatively, the patio area provides a great spot for a barbecue or a glass of wine on a warmer evening, perhaps while soaking in the hot tub.
Accommodation is spread across the 3 floors and superkings, doubles and twin rooms mean that there is enough flexibility to suit everyone. The ground floor accessible bedrooms are particularly handy for multi generational groups where mobility may be an issue. The 11 bedrooms are stunningly decorated with exceptionally stylish soft furnishings and many look out over the gardens. Facilities are plentiful with luxury en suites and family bathrooms on each level.
