About Us
Penhein offers a unique camping experience, with eight alachigh tents pitched amongst the trees in a three-acre coppiced wood surrounded by acres of fields, wildflower meadows and rolling hills, each one cosy and warm, with comfy beds, a wood-burning stove, kitchen area and private en suite flushing loo and dedicated shower.
With a view to the stars through the skylight and plenty of space for a family of six or up to five adults, guests can escape to nature and relax in comfort and style. Penhein provides the basic essentials and adds their own personal touch - small treats and thoughtful extras that turn camping into glamping and a tent into a temporary home. From bedding and blankets, to cooking utensils and store cupboard staples - there's even a cafetiere for freshly-brewed coffee and welcome hamper to greet you on arrival.
Guests can try their hand at wild cooking on wood-burning stoves, enjoy barbecues over a fire pit, or make use of the 'Cheat's Kitchen' - a separate kitchen unit set up with electric hobs and a microwave for those seeking culinary convenience.
Penhein occupies a unique spot in south Wales - 450 acres of farmland in the middle of the Monmouthshire hills. Glamping guests can roam the beautiful countryside, taking in the magnificent views, exploring nature trails and discovering local attractions. Remote and romantic, Penhein is far removed from daily life in every sense.
You can search availability below. The minimum is a two night stay during the week and three nights at the weekend. Change over days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. When searching please specifiy whether you are looking for a 2 or 3 night stay in order to receive the relevant information.
