About Us
Challenge yourself with an underground caving adventure in the Wye Valley!
Caving Challenges
Explore the depths of the Symonds Yat caves, high above the famous Wye Gorge. The natural limestone caves range from stooping height to flat out crawls, so there’s a range of difficulty to suit everyone. Exploration and physical challenges are just a couple of the reasons to head into the caves of the Forest of Dean.
All the Gear
The Forest of Dean caving venue we use is relatively dry, so you won’t need any special protective clothing. We’ll supply you with the essentials of a safety helmet, headlamp, protective kneepads and caving belt along with the enthusiasm and experience of a local qualified cave leader.
Caving Expertise
We may be biased, but we believe our carefully chosen instructors are the best around. All of our qualified cave leaders are very familiar with the site and have a real passion for the activity. We’re selective about which instructors we use, so that you have the best Forest of Dean caving experience possible.
Ancient Caverns
The caves are found within the limestone cliffs of Symonds Yat, formed around 350 million years ago! Learn more about the history of these caves as you explore the narrow passageways and boulder-filled chambers. If you find yourself bitten by the caving bug we’ll be happy to help you plan the next steps of your adventure.
Groups from Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham can try caving within an hour or so from home!
