About Us
The Palace Cinema is a historic cinema in the heart of Cinderford. One of the oldest cinemas in the country, dating from 1910 it has wonderful atmosphere and a warm welcome.
Today the cinema has two screens, one with with 170 and the other with 101 seats. Both screens 1 and 2 are equipped with Dolby Digital Cinema Projectors with surround sound and infra-red hearing assistance, audio description and subtitling facilities and both screens have a number of double 'sofa' seats.
We show the latest releases alongside timeless classics.
We serve a large selection of confectionary, popcorn, and soft drinks, as well as freshly ground Tchibo coffee, hot chocolate and various teas which can be enjoyed in our Rendez-vous Cafe/Lounge or taken into the screens.
The comfortable seating in screen 1 has extra wide aisles for social distancing. All seats around a booking are also blocked off for enhanced social distancing.
Screen 2 is reached via stairs. This screen was originally the balcony.
Booking and Payment
All booking is in advance, screens are operating to a very reduced capacity, we strongly recommend that you book as soon as you can. You can book on the website or over the phone during opening hours. We reccommend contactless payment whenever possible, the next preferable method is debit or credit card, pin pads will be sanitised after every transaction. If you are unwell and cannot make your showtime please do not visit the cinema. We ask that if you develop symptoms of Covid19 you contact via Facebook messenger or phone and someone will get back to you to discuss your options. We appreciate things change quickly, please do try to give us advanced warning if you cannot make it.

Opening Times
* Open daily. daytime and evening at weekends, evenings during the week. During school holidays we are open daytime and evenings. For film festivals, charity events, special shows and matinees please check the website.
