About Us
In the rolling Herefordshire countryside, our eighteenth-century threshing barn makes a beautiful backdrop for the contemporary crafts made here in the old farm workshops. Ceramics, wood-work, basketry, jewellery and collagraph prints. The courtyard is a vibrant space in summer, especially during the Forest and Rivers Arts Trail and Herefordshire Art Week.
On any visit to Wobage, you will be welcomed by one of the makers. We love talking about making and the work that's created and sold here. Our unique set up offers a rare opportunity to discuss salt firing, wood-turning or willow growing.
Cabinet maker Ben Casson sources native timber, often using local wind-fallen trees, for his furniture and collaborative range, Kitchenwood.
Wood-carver Lynn Hodgson incorporates knots and burr in her exquisite designs. Lynn co-produces Kitchenwood with Ben and their daughter Molly.
Basket maker Clyde Hoare grows his own willows, for rich colour and quality.
Jeweller Clair Hodgson creates pieces in gold and silver with semi-precious stones.
The Wobage potters are selected members of the Craft Potters Association, whose work is of the highest standard in all respects – outstanding in its expression, with quality of making appropriate to its concept and with a powerful and well-established sense of individual identity.
