About Us

WyeMTB was born in the summer of 2010 by two mountain bikers who both live and work in the Wye Valley. The idea behind the company is to spread our love and passion for the sport.

WyeMTB HQ is based in Monmouth, South Wales. Monmouth and the surrounding landscape has been identified as a Area of Outstanding Natural Beautify (AONB), making Monmouth an idyllic area to host a wide range of Outdoor Adventurous Activities.

If you are looking for a formal qualification in mountain biking, such as the British Cycling Mountain Bike Leadership Award (levels 1 to 3), Go Mountain Bike Award (levels 1 to 5), mountain bike skills sessions or if you're just after a cracking mountain bike ride with friends or family we are able to cater for you.

We use the following locations.

Afan Lodge

The Afan valley has been a top destination for Mountain bikers for over a decade. The valley hosts 6 purpose built mountain bike trail ranging from beginner to expert. The afan lodge is situated right in the middle of the valley, the lodge hosts Resturant, bar and MTB friendly accomdation. We use the lodge for skill courses, leadership coures and a base for out guided ride.

We use Gilwern Outdoor Education Centre for our British Cycling Leadership courses. The centre offers excellent teaching facilities, great outdoor space and easy access to the Black Mountains. As part of our leadership courses we can to show case where the awards can allow you to Lead.

Pedalabikeaway

We use Pedalabikeaway for the majority of our Coaching sessions. 

Talybont on Usk

We use Talybont on Usk centre for our British Cycling Leadership courses. The centre offers excellent teaching facilities, great outdoor space and easy access to the Brecon Beacons. As part of our leadership courses we can to show case where the awards can allow you to Lead.
